Blue Herons Nursery
Native plants grown to help farmers, gardeners and homesteaders who want to increase yield and profit by reducing inputs and improving soil health through increased diversity above and below ground; ultimately creating healthy farm ecosystems.
Native Plant Gardens
A series of native plant collections will be planted throughout Blue Herons Farm. Each will be designed for a specific function—whether to attract pollinators, support butterflies, or serve as regenerative farm solutions like erosion buffers and pest management. The gardens also serve as a native seed bank for future generations.
These beautiful gardens also create many unique outdoor classrooms for people to learn more about native plants, what weeds are telling us and how plants partner with insects as well as many song birds for an abundant lifestyle. The public is welcome to join us on guided and self-guided tours during open hours.

To start, our nursery will begin by offering much of what thrives in our gardens: deer-resistant, sun-loving native perennials. A selection of native plants suited for gardens without deer pressure will be offered and as we grow more into 2026 and beyond, we’ll expand our offerings—including native plant seeds… or maybe we’ll just keep leaving them for the birds!
